BIOGRAPHY OF THE LATE REV. DR. EBENEZER OFORI ATTA (aka DFA ATTA)

The late Rev. Dr. Ebenezer Ofori Atta affectionately called ƆFA Atta was the younger of two twins born on, 14th April, 1954, at Akyem Sekyere to Mr. Edward Kwadwo Asamoah and Madam Juliana Akua Akyerem, both of blessed memory.
REV. DR. EBENEZER OFORI ATTA was the only son among three sisters. As the first child, always available to help them and was the mommy's boy.
He started his primary school Education at Akyem Sekyere Roman Catholic School and continued his middle school at Akyem Sekyere Presbyterian Middle School in 1964.
REV. DR. EBENEZER OFORI ATTA went to live with his uncle at Tamale for some years and they were transferred to Burma Camp at Accra.
REV. DR. EBENEZER was smart academically, so he pursued his passion for clinical assistance under Dr. Ofori a Medical doctor at Mpraeso Which enabled him to open the first ever private private clinic in this town that saved a lot of lives.
Dr.Ebenezer also had a great passion for music.This also provided him with a platform to explore his musical interest which had been a lifelong passion. He established a musical concert band known as Ɔkoreɛ Mma international band which was managed by great musicians like Pat O, Charles 10 and others. He again demonstrated a passion for poultry farming and was once elected as one of the hardworking poultry farmers ( Price of Peace Farms. in the area. He won the district best farmer for two consecutive times.
REV DR. decided to take up a full-time pastoral course at New Life Pastoral Training Institute, Accra. He was ordained into full-time pastor and was sent to Asamankese to be the head pastor. After some years, he was transferred Winneba. From Winneba he was sent to Sawua, Kumasi then to Akyem Anyinam, where he retired as a pastor. After his retirement he became the Headmaster of Tina Preparatory School where he ended his lives time service to humanity.
He came to his hometown Akyem Sekyere to live with his entire family. He was very strict, and firm, and had a good sense of humour. He was blessed with 12 children,36 grandchildren, 12 great grand-children. Though we deeply mourn his passing, we are comforted knowing he has been called to a higher service by his maker.
For about a year now, REV. DR. has battled with sickness and, on May 2026, REV. DR. Ebenezer was rushed to the Emergency Unit of Koforidua Government Hospital where doctors did their utmost, but was pronounced dead a few days after arrival.
REV. DR. EBENEZER, your death has created a vacuum in our family which will be really difficult to fill.
We are however consoled by the belief that you are now in a better place with God your maker.

A Star is Born
Born in Kumasi to a family of farmers, the fourth of seven children.
1970
Calling as a Physician
He began his career as a medical practitioner after many years of serving under Dr. Ofori. He later established the first private clinic in Akyem Sekyere, where he saved countless lives. He became widely known as Dr. Ofori Atta. His dedication to medicine inspired many people within his family and the community to pursue careers in healthcare.
1980
A Chief Farmer (Prince of Peace Farm)
He transitioned from a medical career into farming and founded Prince of Peace Farms as a poultry farm.
The farm grew and expanded into livestock and plantation farming. He won the District Best Farmer award two years in a row. He was one of the major producer of eggs, fowls, sheep, and other farm products, including medicines for birds.
1980s
Calling as a Musician (Ɔkɔreɛ Mma Band)
His love for music inspired him to establish a concert band, a live musical group that featured great musicians such as Dr. Paa Bobo, Charles 10, Ice Water, and many others. His band travelled from towns and villages to cities, entertaining people at various events, concerts, festivals, and social gatherings.
1998
Calling as a Pastor
After completing New Life Pastoral Training Institute in Accra, he was appointed and ordained into the ministry of New Testament Assembly, where he served faithfully as a pastor. He was also a gifted teacher by calling. Through his ministry, he shepherded and strengthened churches across various branches nationwide, faithfully serving in different congregations and communities throughout the country.
2000 - 2008
Great Lecturer (Victory Bible School – Asamankese)
He was appointed as a lecturer at Victory Bible School in Asamankese, where he served alongside other distinguished lecturers, including Rev. Jones Owusu Agyei, the Deputy General Overseer of Global Revival Ministry and many others. Through his teaching ministry, he impacted and mentored many students in biblical studies and Christian leadership.
2017 - 2026
Calling as a Headmaster
After his retirement, he devoted himself to the field of education and served as the Headmaster of Tina Preparatory School. This role marked his final chapter of service to humanity, through which he continued to impact lives and contribute to the development of future generations.

Chairman and patron ( Arena of grace bible college - Ghana)
He became the chairman and patron of Arena of grace bible college in Accra. A bible school that has trained a lot of pastors and ordained a lot of ministers into ministry.

A Tribute To My Beloved Husband
My dear husband,
Today, I stand with a heart that is broken, yet grateful to God for the precious gift of your life. Finding the words to say goodbye is one of the hardest things I have ever had to do. The silence you have le behind is overwhelming, and the pain of your absence is deeper than words can express.
You were not only my husband; you were my best friend, my companion, my protector, and God's greatest blessing in my life. Through the years we shared, you loved me with pa ence, kindness, and unwavering faith. You stood beside me during life's storms and rejoiced with me in moments of celebra on. Your love reflected the love of Christ—selfless, faithful, and enduring.
I thank God for every day He allowed us to spend together. I thank Him for your gentle heart, your wisdom, your strength, and your devo on to our family. You led with humility and served with love. You touched so many lives, not through grand gestures, but through your compassion, generosity, and steadfast faith in God.
Today, I grieve because I miss your voice, your smile, your laughter, and the comfort of your presence. I miss the simple moments we shared—the conversa ons, the prayers, the dreams we built together. My heart longs for one more day, one more embrace, one more opportunity to tell you how much I love you.
Yet even in my sorrow, I hold on to the promises of God. The Bible reminds us that those who trust in the Lord have the hope of eternal life.

Today, we, your twelve children, stand together with hearts full of grief and gratitude as we celebrate the life of an exceptional father. We thank God for the privilege of being your children. Because of your deep love for God and your passion for praising Him like Judah, it is no surprise to us that God blessed you with twelve children, reminding us of the twelve tribes. We see this as another beautiful expression of God's grace upon your life and family.
Daddy, you were a man of faith, integrity, wisdom, and hard work. As a devoted servant of God, you faithfully shepherded many souls, and as our father, you lovingly guided us, shaping us into the men and women we are today.
As a dedicated poultry farmer, you taught us that success comes through diligence, discipline, and perseverance. The lessons we learned while working with you were not only about farming but about life itself.
One of our cherished memories was every Christmas when you had our clothes sewn a little bigger than our size. We laughed then, but later understood your wisdom and sacrifice. Those oversized clothes reflected your love, foresight, and determination to provide for us throughout the year.
You also taught us accountability. Every pesewa you gave us had to be accounted for. Though we once thought you were too strict, we now realize you were building honesty, responsibility, and faithful stewardship into our lives. Those lessons have shaped our families, careers, and our walk with God.
Daddy, you taught us that character is greater than comfort, honesty is more valuable than riches, and faithfulness in little things prepares us for greater responsibilities. Your prayers protected us, your wisdom directed us, your sacrifices opened doors for us, and your example continues to inspire us.
Though we deeply miss your presence, we rejoice that your legacy lives on in your children, grandchildren, and the countless lives you touched. Thank you for every sacrifice, every correction, every prayer, every word of encouragement, and every lesson that prepared us for life.

My late father was not only a loving parent but also a great source of inspiration in my life. His deep love for music greatly influenced me and ignited in me a passion that has become an important part of who I am today. Through his example, I learned to appreciate music, and that passion continues to shape my life and ministry.
One of the most precious gifts he ever gave me was his personal Bible—the same Bible he used throughout his studies and with which he graduated from Bible School. After I was appointed as a Pastor by my spiritual father, Bishop Louis Macaiah, my father lovingly handed this treasured Bible over to me. To him, it was more than a book; it was a symbol of faith, dedication, and a spiritual legacy he desired to pass on to the next generation.
I will forever cherish this priceless gift and the values he instilled in me. His life, his love for God, his passion for music, and his unwavering commitment to ministry will always remain a source of inspiration. Though he is no longer with us physically, his legacy lives on in my heart and in the work God has called me to do.
Dad, your memory will forever be blessed, and your impact on my life will never be forgotten. Rest peacefully in the presence of the Lord.

My father was my Pastor and instructor. I have become who I am now by his direction and personal life. He was more than a father to me, a companion, a co labourer in the faith and a friend. Very interesting I became a pastor to my father and an overseer. Rest well Dad. I believe you are in the bosom of Abraham.
He believed in me when no one else did. I became a pastor because of him.
